12 June spelling story starters 😝

This week we have been doing our spelling and our story starters it has been fun so yea here are my story starters for this week.

explode- The door exploded right before my eyes I did not know what to do or were to go.

tragedy- It was a tragedy I wish I did not do it.

galaxy- we made it, it was like a galaxy crashing into the moon.

Math!

Yesterday We were using angles to measure things outside. Now I know this sounds so boring but please I am trying to make this as exiting to read as I can. Anyway we made something called a clinometer and a giant protractor (it was pretty cool) oh and also a tape measurer. On the clinometer you hade to look through the telescope looking thing to measure stuff like netball hoops, goal posts and fences.😄 With the tape measure we had to measure the distance from the object to were ever we wanted for example if you wanted to do 5 metres obviously you can’t fit that on a page so you would change it to 5cm, but yea. Here are some photos.😜

Wheels

Rotational symmetry occurs when an object repeats image when turned 360 degrees around a central point. But, the object does not have rotational symmetry if it only matches itself after a full turn. When an object does have rotational symmetry, we label it as having rotational symmetry of order.

We went outside to the car park to look and take pictures of car wheels, we were seeing how many rotational symmetry orders the wheels have and some different parts of the car had rotational symmetry.

story starters term2 week 1

In spelling we use 3 of our words to use as story starters. A story starter is the first sentence of a story or novel. The sentence needs to be engaging and want the reader to read more.
This week’s story starters are: antidote, midnight and destroy.

Antidote– We did it we finally did it! we found an antidote for covid.

Midnight– As the clock struck midnight there was only a creek in the house.

Destroy– when she walked through the door I was destroyed.
